If the need is to be in a happy place with good music to listen to on a particular Wednesday night, Village Blues Bar is definitely the place to be on such nights, as Happy Hour continues to grow.

The event began on August 1 and has since improved steadily. It has been a must-go for most residents within the vicinities of Barbican, Mona and Liguanea but manager Nicholas 'Taboo' Reynolds is hoping to see more patrons enter the venue on Wednesday nights.

exciting hits

"The event is gradually picking up stride each week. I expect to see more patrons from various places come as the word is being spread like wildfire that Village Blues Bar is the happiest place to be on a Wednesday night," he said.

Each week, resident selector DJ Flabba Dabba entertains his audience with some of the most exciting hits from several musical genres such as dancehall, reggae, hip hop, and pop.

There is also a specially invited guest selector each week, and so far the likes of Chromatic and ZJ Chrome have come and delivered fantastic performances.

Happy Hour continues this week with gates opening at 10 p.m.
