DJ Skrible gets big music deal! |

DJ Skrible - Contributed Fast-rising Jamaican disc jock, DJ Skrible, has signed a two-year music contract with Canadian-based record label Spreez Music Group. DJ Skrible, born Nicholas Johnson, has become the first Jamaican disc jock the record company has signed since its inception three years ago. The deal serves as a double contract, as the former Jamaica College student was signed as a DJ and music producer. The DJ, who has a daily radio show on Jamrockone.com, said he was very excited when he learned about the deal and is optimistic that it will be a fruitful venture for both parties. "This deal is a big step forward in my music career," he said. "I am really looking forward to all the things that can be achieved from this," added the 22-year-old and former Code Red sound system selector. music group Johnson's first line of duty for the label is an upcoming 53-city world tour, which is aimed at promoting the music group. The tour is set to begin this fall. This has not been the first major project for the relatively popular disc jockey as he was the official DJ at the recently concluded Jamaica Reggae Dance Festival during the Jamaica 50 celebrations at the National Arena. Also, DJ Skrible has released his Unleashed: Volume 4 mix tape, which has already been burning up the streets with a variety of artistes.
