Probe launched into death of 23-y-o woman |

The police in Trelawny are now investigating the murder of a 23-year-old woman in the parish on Monday. The woman has been identified as Taneva Forbes. Information reaching THE STAR is that Forbes and a male co-worker were doing house-to-house sales in different sections of the Hague Settlement Community, when she was discovered missing. Her co-worker reportedly made several calls to her phone and when those went unanswered, he called the police. The police said the woman's body was found with the hands bound and mouth gagged, wrapped in a sheet under a bed at the last house where she was seen making a sales call. lured into house The police suspect that she was lured into the house, raped and then murdered. Meanwhile, the police say while they were searching for her attacker, explosions were heard in another section of the community. When they went to investigate, a man believed to be the occupant of the house was found on the roadway suffering from gunshot wounds.
