A man is suspected to have committed suicide after his decomposed body was found hanging from a tree at his home yesterday morning.

He has been identified as 61-year-old Tellis Facey, a farmer, of Ballards Valley district, St Elizabeth.

Reports from the Junction police are that Facey was last seen about 6 p.m. on Friday, September 28, and when subsequent attempts to contact him proved futile, a search was launched. It ended about 2 a.m. yesterday, when relatives discovered his body suspended from a tree by a piece of rope at the rear of his house and summoned the police. The body was later removed to the morgue.

Investigations continue.
