Bog Walk cops probe chopping incident

The Bog Walk police in St Catherine have launched an investigation into what led residents of a St Catherine community to chop and injure a man. The incident occurred about 4 p.m. in Magazine Lane, Bog Walk, St Catherine.

Reports are that residents of the area heard strange sounds coming from a dwelling.

"Is a while that we observed that something not right about the movements down dere so we were ready fi dem," one disgruntled resident said.

The residents contend that when checks were made, the two men were reportedly caught inside in a compromising position.

An alarm was made and an angry mob started to rain blows and chops after descending on the house.

One man reportedly ran and escaped while the other suffered chop wounds to the upper body.

He was rushed to the Linstead Hospital where he was admitted in serious condition.
