Spanish Grain made a grand opening of their latest store at Destiny Mall, Portmore Town Centre, last Saturday.

The event was highlighted by a busy shopping day for customers at the store. Additionally, there were booths that gave out free samples of foods and other goodies.

Best Dressed Chicken was the main sponsor of the event and they also gave out prizes to a few lucky shoppers.

The Best Dressed Chicken mascot entertained patrons and passers-by, doing the latest dance moves. Children also joined the mascot to make it a merry occasion.

"We at Spanish Grain Store proudly celebrates the opening of our most recent store at Shop #1, Destiny Mall Plaza, Portmore, St Catherine," Allison Christie, the sales and marketing manager at the store told THE PORTMORE STAR.

Sales and promotions

Also sharing in the moment were sales and promotions people from Best Dressed Chicken, including Loraine Kemble, the company's brand promotions officer, and Audrey Arjun, a sales representative.

"Spanish Grain Store is one of Jamaica's largest importer, producer and distributor of meats and grains, serving the country for more than 50 years. We deliver islandwide to wholesalers, supermarkets, restaurants and market vendors offering a wide range of groceries at affordable prices," Andrew Chin, the store's general manager, expressed.

In the near future, Spanish Grain expects its brand to be seen in grocery stores across Jamaica. They also have their main store at 15 Second Street, Newport West, in Kingston, and another at Port Henderson Plaza, located along Port Henderson Road.
