DAMP DJ Liquid Birthday Party, held at Y-Not Beach, Port Royal on Saturday night October 6, 2012.

DJ Liquid went all out for his 36th birthday party on Saturday celebrating with friends, family and fans at the Y-Knot beach in Port Royal.

The popular disc jockey teamed up with Swedish vodka giant Smirnoff, Guinness, Ting and Main Event to make a big splash with D.A.M.P. - Definitely A Mad Party.

The event started at 4 p.m., but the real party did not begin until later in the night when a fresh crowd started streaming in. This renewed energy gave the party new life and patrons partied into the wee hours of the morning.

The venue was brought to life with electrifying music as patrons raved and partied away to the musical selections of Chromatic, Johnny Kool, Kurt Riley and Coppershot. The night was cool and this seemed to have given the crowd an excuse to create some heat through friction. Patrons did "get on bad" thanks in part to the intoxicating music and the free Smirnoff mixes.

The venue was a long way off, but this did not stop the army of partygoers who turned out to celebrate with the DJ. Local celebrities and well-wishers alike all showed up dressed to impress in fashionable beachwear which for the females meant less was more.

DJ Liquid told THE STAR that he was happy with the turnout for the event and made special mention of his massive female fan base, who all seemed to have showed up to celebrate with him. The controversial Zip FM radio personality was in high spirits throughout the night as he revelled in his celebration.

The producer/artiste definitely had a lot to celebrate. Liquid returned to the Zip FM airwaves earlier this year after a four-month suspension and is now taking his career to the next level.

The ZJ recently released his Pre-Release rhythm which features artistes such as Mavado, Popcaan and Demarco. According to Zip's online site, the ZJ is also set for a string of overseas dates that will see him visiting Canada, New York, Miami and Dubai.
