Teacher dies in Antigua plane crash |

|
A Jamaican teacher is among three persons who died in a plane crash at the VC Bird International Airport in Antigua on Sunday. Dead is Anya Duncan, who officials in Antigua say is a secondary school in Montserrat. The pilot, Captain Jason Forbes also died in the horrific crash. The other person, a 50-year old Guyanese woman died shortly after arriving at the Mount Saint John Medical Centre. Reports are that the crash occurred when Fly Montserrat flight 107, nose-dived onto runway seven at the VC Bird International Airport about 4:10 pm. It is reported that the sole survivor is a British national, who was said to have sustained bruises, lacerations and a broken ankle. Several flights were reportedly diverted as a result of the crash. |
