Brothers killed in Spanish Town

The St Catherine Major Investigation Task Force is searching for the driver of a motor car after the vehicle featured in the killing of two brothers yesterday.

Those killed have been identified as Barrington Robinson, 25, and 34-year-old Germaine 'Coolie' Lawrence of Tawes Pen.

When THE STAR visited the community, residents expressed concerns of criminals attacking persons by blocking their path.

"It was three weeks ago that the criminal dem killed a truck driver at Angels after locking a gate to the scheme," a bystander said.

Police reports are that about 9:45 p.m., the deceased were travelling in a car in Angels Grove, Spanish Town, St Catherine.

They reportedly came upon a roadblock when the driver reportedly alighted from the car and went to pull the blockage. While clearing the road, explosions were reportedly heard. Both Robinson and Lawrence were later found with gunshot wounds.

The police were called and when they arrived it were revealed that the car was set ablaze resulting in the bodies being extensively burnt.

Investigators said that no motive has been established for the killings.
