Heineken Igloo sizzles

Quite fittingly, patrons at Heineken Igloo at Island Village Ocho Rios on Monday, Heroes Day, partied like it was the last day. Indeed, it was the last of five days of parties at Margaritaville, and Igloo proved once again to be the party of choice for party lovers.

A jam-packed beach rocked to music provided by special guest Mix Master David from Atlanta, along with top Jamaican selectors Crazy Neil, Timeless & Illusion and Coppershot, who got the crowd into a frenzy.

As much as the music rocked and the patrons jammed, so did the igloos coming into the venue, packed with ice and Heineken. And when those bottles ran out, the bars were kept busy refilling those igloos as patrons ensured they got maximum enjoyment.

As usual, one Heineken-branded igloo was up for grabs for a lucky patron.

Happy Hour event

Leading up to Igloo, Heineken had rolled out its Happy Hour event at several bars in St Ann.

"Heineken Igloo is one of the top beach-party series in Jamaica, as well as Florida, and has become a staple event on the Ocho Rios calendar for Heroes Weekend," Heineken brand manager Nasha Douglas said prior to the event. On Monday, the event proved her right, as the party fans kept the Igloo dance floor scorching throughout the night.

The highly successful Igloo beach party capped what was a terrific weekend for party lovers in Ocho Rios, which is customary over the Heroes weekend, which saw over a dozen entertainment events.
