Woman to reimburse stolen money to ex-lover |

A woman who stole $24,000 from her former lover's business place in the New Kingston area will be expected to make full restitution to him when the case returns to the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate's Court today. She is Simone Lawhoa, who pleaded guilty to the charge of simple larceny. sour relationship The court heard that on the day of the incident, Lawhoa allegedly took the money from her ex-boyfriend's business place. Lawhoa told Resident Magistrate (RM) Lorna Shelly-Williams that the only reason that the complainant brought this up against her was because the relationship had gone sour. The RM proceeded to ask the accused when the money could be reimbursed to the complainant but she wryly responded "Him can get it whenever him want it." However, this did not sit well with the RM who told her that she was being flippant. The RM then ordered that full restitution be made to the
complainant today. |
