Upcoming artiste Rohan McNauhton, aka RJ Sharp, came to the realisation that he wanted to pursue a career in music while in the ninth grade at Holy Trinity High School.

According to Sharp, even though he had been listening to music his entire life, his biggest influence and inspiration is Sizzla.

He got his introdauction to recording at the All Fruits Recording Studio on Oliver Road in Rockfort, where a friend took him. He voiced his first song Scared for a producer known as 'Granty'. The song was never released but Sharp held on to his dream of being successful in the business. For a while, he used to record dub plates for a few overseas sound systems until 2008.

In December 2008, RJ Sharp was introduced to Doctor Marshall, veteran engineer and producer/owner of In The Corner Productions); They met at Anchor Recording Studios in Kingston 5, through a friend. At the time of their meeting, Sharp presented a CD containing his vocals for Marshall to listen to, which led to the latter taking RJ Sharp under his wings for observation purposes, so as to ensure that he learned how to be an artiste (both from the creative and business angles).

Six months after their initial meeting, Sharp recorded his official debut single, Get Away - the song and video are in current rotation, and is now being followed by other remarkable tracks from the artiste.

Doctor Marshall and RJ Sharp signed their management and production contract. Currently, they are working steadfastly to complete the debut album; the title and release date will be announced. In the near future, there will be three more singles preceding the release of the album. Expect everything from this quiet but fearless artiste. His star will undoubtedly shine brighter as time progresses - RJ Sharp intends to stay.
