Magnum Container Satdazs launched |

![]() Anthony Minott photos With a fair amount of swag, Magnum Container Satdazs party was launched at The Gleaner's Sports Club, 7 North Street, in Kingston on Thursday evening. The conceptualiser, businessman Ian Miles, affectionately called 'Don Ian', or 'Container Boss', officially launched the party series dubbed club in di Streets', with main sponsor Magnum Tonic Wine endorsing the event. Andre Cowan, marketing manager, Lascelles, distributors of Magnum, spoke of the relationship Magnum had with the event. They were also promoting a new slang, 'Who's the boss', and boasted that Magnum makes you a boss in the dancehall ,as well as in the bedroom. Red Bull, Jamaica operations Sales Manager Tresha Miller was also present to endorse her company's sponsorship of the event. Adding flavour to the evening's proceedings were the Magnum girls, who brought a different vibe with the aid of the uncontrollable disc jocks DJ Barge and Damion alongside Magnum DJ Club Roc. Food was provided by Angella Rowe's Decadent Delicious Delights. The Container Crew, including Container Bruce and Rass made their presence felt. The DPP Family was also on hand to support the party. Associate sponsors include The STAR and Pon Di Spot Video. Last Summer was a success for Magnum Container Satdazs, as the parties ran non-stop through the summer, featuring themes such as 'Bare as you Dare' and 'Sports Wear Affair' The next staging of Magnum Container Satdazs will be on Saturday, October 27, at the headquarters, Miles Wholesale and Retail Liquor Store, Regent Street, in Denham Town. The party stars at 8 p.m., and ends at 2 a.m. Meanwhile, heavyweight artistes like Bounty Killer and Konshens, alongside Kalado, Delus and others, were present at the launch to show their support for the event.
