Rasbert Turner, Star Writer Three people who are charged with the murder of an attorney-at-law will have their case transferred to the Home Circuit tomorrow. Dead is Clover Graham, 53-year-old lawyer of Eltham View in Spanish Town, St Catherine. Charged with murder, robbery with aggravation and conspiracy to murder are Quron Patterson o/c 'Q', Simeon Lewis o/c 'Fret Dem', and Shannon 'Wire' Campbell, all of Gordon Pen, St Catherine. When the matter was mentioned in the Spanish Town Resident Magistrate's Court yesterday, only Lewis and Patterson appeared and they pleaded not guilty. They were about to make utterances, however, they were told to keep their defence. Allegations are that on August 19 about 6 a.m., the body of Graham, with its throat slashed, was found on the Caymanas Polo Club. The car of the deceased was recovered along Waltham Park Road in St Andrew. Investigation by the police revealed that the three accused had taken her from her home. They were subsequently picked by the police and following further investigation they were criminally charged by Detective Sergeant Euclin Mendez. The accused were not represented when they appeared in court. |
