Upcoming artiste, Slash - Contributed

Upcoming deejay Slash will be dazzling fans in Manchester with his lyrical savvy as he was just added to the 'Bruk Bruk Bruk Bruk Eee Dung' show tonight at the Evergreen Community Centre.

Staged by Fyah Promotions in association with Sherika Twiny, Bruk Bruk Bruk Bruk Eee Dung will feature sizzling performances from Slash, Mr Vegas, KipRich, Anthony B, Nitty Kutchie, Anthony Cruz, Ras Bogle and more. For his first performance on the event, Slash is planning to shine and introduce Manchester to his lyrical repertoire.

"I am looking forward to Manchester. My objective is to give an impressive performance and leave the fans wanting more. I've been preparing myself to keep up with the veterans in the business that will be on the show, so I know it's going to be good. I'm coming for the ladies, once the girls enjoythemselves; I know I did a great job."

Good rotation

Slash has been getting good rotation on the airwaves with songs such as Poor People, The Truth, and the popular hit War and Crime on the West Side rhythm. His latest releases include Real Gallis Anthem (Yard Rock rhythm), You Look Good (4.5 rhythm) and Whine Up Yuh Body (Pro Style rhythm).

Slash hails from Portmore in St Catherine where he began developing his musical talent at an early age in an effort to standout among his seven siblings. At age 14, he began to write his own music and lyrics influenced by top artistes like Beenie Man, Bounty Killer, Alozade and Red Rat whose song Mi Woulda Shame inspired Slash to write his first counteraction single.

With the help of producer Ray Stephens of the Dog House Production Label (which later changed to Vertex Records), Slash was able to record a number of collaborations with ace deejay Vybz Kartel, one of which is Badman Nuh Bow.

Bruk Bruk Bruk Bruk Eee Dung is $300 pre-sold and $500 at the gate.
