$1 million reward for information on SSP Hewitt's murder

The police are offering a reward totalling $1 million for information leading to the arrest and charge of person/s responsible for the recent murder of former JCF officer SSP Anthony Hewitt.

The announcement of the reward was made this morning at a press conference held at the Police Officers' Club in St Andrew by SSP Wilford Gayle, acting head of the Criminal Investigation Branch (CIB).

"I am making public that the Firearms Licensing Authority, which is providing $500,000, and other interested parties, including the police, are offering a reward of $1 million for information which will assist in the arrest and charge of the person/s who murdered Mr Hewitt," SSP Gayle announced.

Persons with information are asked to call Crime Stop at 311, Kingfish at 811 or police 119.
