Cops told that ... MAN BITES 1-Y-O IN REVENGE

SHELDON WILLIAMS, Staff Reporter

The police have charged a dad who was accused of biting a one-year-old boy because the infant bit his child while they were playing at church.

The one-year-old toddler is now nursing a bite mark after it was alleged that the accused man retaliated for the incident that took place a few days earlier.

THE WEEKEND STAR understands that the incident began at a church service in Bull Bay, St Andrew, when one baby bit the other during child's play.

"I went to church and my baby bit another baby. They're the same age, one-year-and-five months. I took up my baby and I bit back my baby and told him don't bite and the child's mother took him up and we left church," the mother of the injured toddler explained.

She told THE WEEKEND STAR that she thought that the incident had been resolved, but to her surprise, the father of the other child was informed of the incident, and was apparently not pleased about what took place.

Days later, the mother alleged that she went to visit her mother who resides in the same community as the parents of the other child, and was left astounded by what transpired when the man approached her while she held on to her offspring. "I saw the child's father walking towards me but I wasn't expecting anything," she said.

It was reported that the accused held on to the baby's hand and bit him and the mother made a report at the police station.

She also claims that her child was left crying and shaking after he was bitten.

THE WEEKEND STAR also received a copy of the medical report that confirms that the child was treated for a bite injury to the hand.

The accused man has been charged with cruelty to a child by the Bull Bay police.
