Alleged pig killers plead not guilty

There was stifled laughter in the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate's Court on Friday when a matter concerning the killing of a pig was mentioned.

The snickers then turned to outbursts when it was revealed that the defendants accused of killing the pig are a father and son duo who share the same name.

Charged with malicious destruction of property are Andrew Beacon Snr and Andrew Beacon Jnr who both pleaded not guilty. They had their bails extended until January 21.

A dejected looking complainant told the court that, "Dem just lick him out and kill him,".

It is being alleged that the pig was killed because he ate the defendant's lamb.

The corpse of the cloven-hoofed animal was reportedly found by the complainant in an open lot in Tower Hill, Kingston 11 on October 31.
