Omari making bigger strides in career

Gospel singer, Omari will be making even bigger strides in 2013. he has an early start with the release of his book, Why Me God, followed by new singles.

In addition, fans can also expect to see Omari on a number of local concerts including Jermaine Edwards and Friends, which will take place at the Karram Speid Auditorium, Constant Spring Road, on Saturday, December 22.

The singer is widely known for his conscious hit singles, Help, Why, Jehovah Guide Me.

"People can expect an energetic and inspiring performance, because people know I'm passionate about our people and our nation, so they will also hear songs talking about justice and peace ... just basically bringing a positive message," he said.

"Everybody can also expect to hear the new singles like Heart And Soul on the Heart and Soul rhythm and Shout To The Lord, which has been getting a lot of airplay.

Everywhere I go people are saying, 'yeah, man, Omari mi like your new single', so I'm appreciative of the fact that the message I was inspired by God to bring forth is getting out there."

The Jermaine Edwards and Friends concert will feature top musical ministers including DJ Nicholas, Kevin Downswell, Omari, Rondell Positive, Judith Gayle among others, starting at 6 p.m., and admission will be $1,000 pre-sold and $1200 at the gate.
