Man accused of raping hooker remanded |

Rasbert Turner, Star Writer The preliminary inquiry against a man who allegedly raped a prostitute will continue in court on January 9. Charged with abduction and rape is Kirk Dermott of no fixed address. Dermott's appearance is as a result of an incident that took place in 2010 in Bridgeport, Portmore, St Catherine. The accused reportedly took the female from Port Henderson Road after promising her $5,000 for her services. Upon reaching the scene of the crime, he took her at knifepoint to the rear of a house where he forced her to perform sexual acts. Dermott, who has maintained his innocence, was remanded. |
