Alleged thief pleads not guilty

A man who was reportedly caught red-handed stealing car parts from a building pleaded not guilty in the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate's Court yesterday.

Phillip Gunter was charged with simple larceny after the police caught him stealing $179,000 worth of car parts in front of a building operated by the complainant.

Resident Magistrate Georgianna Fraser requested a fingerprint order for Gunter and his bail was extended. He is scheduled to return to court on January 14.
