Star Tell Me Pastor

He has no time for me

Dear Pastor,

I am a 25-year-old young lady who has been in a relationship for the past three years. I love my partner dearly but my biggest problem is that he is always working. He is a mechanic and sometimes as late as the night is, he is outside working and as morning breaks, he is back at it.

This man does not take time for recreation at all. If I want to go somewhere, he takes me but he stays in the car and sleeps. I do not ask for much from him. I am working and I do things to make extra money. I am stressed out.

He seems to be a loyal man and I have no problem whatsoever with him and other women, but what type of woman would want a man who just stays home all the time working and doesn't want to go out at least once a month to share some good time together?

My next issue is that we have been trying so hard in getting our first child. I have been to two gynaecologists for the past six months. I am still on medication and I am still to get results. I know the problem lies with me because I am diagnosed with polycystic ovary syndrome. I am so scared that one day he will get someone else pregnant. As I have said before, I love him a lot and I don't want to lose him. He has done many things for me and I am very grateful for that. I pray every day for everything to work out ok. What more can I do?

Dear S.,

You have a good man, a very, very good man. Hold on to him because if you harass him and nag him, you are going to lose him. He has his faults. Perhaps he is working too hard. He needs to take time to go out with you. But, the good thing about your man is that he is not playing around with other women and you know where he is always.

I am sure this man has goals in mind. He is not blowing his money on women. And although he is not married to you, you mean a lot to him. He is not accompanying you when you go out but he takes you wherever you want to go. And he is not preventing you from attending functions, etc. Yep, he is a good man.

Whenever you want this man to go out with you, inform him weeks before and discuss with him what you would like for him to wear, but don't force him.

You are eager to become pregnant. You should follow the advice of your doctor and be patient.
