My husband was married before he got married to me. He got married in two different names. How could I find out if he has got a divorce without causing any problem? I don't have the money to pay a lawyer.

I suggest that you go to the Registrar General's Department and explain your situation. Tell them why you believe that your husband might have not got a divorce before he married you. Show them the certificate the marriage officer gave to you the day you got married and ask them to do a search to ascertain whether or not he was married. Of course, my suggestion wouldn't be necessary if your husband would simply produce his decree absolute to show that he was divorced.
