Sting patrons cars stolen

Crystal Harrison, Staff Reporter

Five motor cars were reportedly stolen from the parking area provided for patrons who attended last week's Sting show at the Jam World entertainment complex in Portmore, St Catherine.

THE STAR understands that several patrons who drove to the annual Boxing Day event, had to leave the venue on Thursday morning without their personal wheels.

The St Catherine South police say the stolen vehicles were Honda and Toyota motor cars.

Senior Superintendent Collin Pinnock, head of the St Catherine South police told our news team that the police are doing everything in their power to recover the motor vehicles.

According to the SSP: "None of the vehicles has so far been recovered, but the police are continuing their investigations into the incident. We have done everything in our power so far in terms of circulating the information on our radio networks". But when contacted yesterday, Isaiah Laing, promoter of Sting, told THE STAR that he is not aware of the reports.

"What I did hear was that most of the vehicles were towed away by a wrecking service, but I don't really know, " Laing said.
