Kidnapped child reunites with mother

An infant that was abducted from its mother Monday morning has been reunited with the family.

The child was reunited with its mother after those responsible abandoned the infant at a location where a function was being held in Spanish Town.

Meanwhile, police investigators said a search is still on for those who held up and robbed the woman of her baby.

The incident occurred in Ensom City, Spanish Town, St Catherine.

Police reports are that the woman was walking home when she was held up by hoodlums.

The criminals reportedly took away the three-month-old infant from her and escaped.

A report was made to the police and an investigation launched.

Residents told The Star that in recent times robbers have targeted the once quiet community.
