Charged with wounding with intent is Ian Reid, who pleaded guilty.

Reid told Resident Magistrate Lorna Shelly-Williams that he was first attacked by the complainant when he visited his wife's house to see his children.

He said, "Your honour, him and mi wife involved and mi go there go look for my children and while I was there him stab after me and the knife broke ina wall."

Reid told RM Shelly-Williams that he then took up the knife and in his defence stabbed the complainant.

RM Shelly-Williams responded, "So you stab the man 13 times?"

The accused said he was not aware how many times the complainant, who was admitted to hospital for three days, was stabbed.

The complainant told the court, "Your Honour, the woman he was with, is with me now and he lay wait on me and her on Waterloo Road and attacked me!"

Reid was remanded until January 23. A fingerprint order was made.
