Accused man remanded for attempted burglary |

A man who has denied that he was spotted making an attempt to break into another man's home was remanded in the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate's Court on Thursday. He is Miguel Hall who has been charged with attempted burglary. Hall is to return to court on January 7, as checks are to be made by the police to verify his address. On a previous court appearance, Hall was ordered to get a psychiatric evaluation. fit to plea The psychiatric report that was read out in court yesterday said that Hall is fit to plea and he pleaded not guilty. Allegations are that on the day in question, the accused was caught by the complainant breaking off a padlock that was attached to the complainant's veranda grill. It is alleged that the accused ran from the premises, however, he was chased by citizens and handed over to the police. "Mi nuh know nothing about this, Your Honour," Hall said to Resident Magistrate Lorna Shelly-Williams. |
