Funeral home bearer robbed at gunpoint |

Rasbert Turner, Star Writer Investigators from the Linstead Police Station, St Catherine, were kept busy yesterday after criminals made off with more than $1 million. Police reports are that a bearer employed to a funeral home was on his way to lodge the money on behalf of the company. When the bearer reached a section of East Avenue, he was held up and robbed by gunmen. The robbers then escaped in the area. A report was made to the Linstead police and a probe is under way. The Star was informed that the investigation is at an advanced stage. |
