Savana plans to make his mark this year

Jamaican-born British reggae artiste Savana is wrapping up his tour of the United Kingdom and will be focusing his efforts on making a name in Jamaica this year.

Savana, who host a show in the UK on Sky television - 'The Reggae Showcase' - and is finalising preparation for the filming of his movie, Life ah Foreign, which is the title of one of his songs which was done featuring Junior Reid, is positioning himself to start a major promotions here.

According to Savana, "Jamaica has given me a wealth of knowledge and experience which I have used to pursue my goals in the UK, and now that I am successful I want Jamaicans to appreciate my music."

The award-winning artiste, who is wrapping up his promotional tour of his TV talk show, said that he's putting together a local team to work closely with his management in the UK to promote him in Jamaica.

"I have good things planned for the people. I am excited about releasing my video Our Love Will Never Die, which is doing great in the UK. It's being played by all of the top radio stations all over the UK."

The native of Spanish Town said that he plans to do shows and work with other local artistes. Already talks are under way between Savana and local reggae singer Advoket whose cover of Justin Nozuka's After Tonight has reached nearly half a million views on Youtube to collaborate on a song.

The two will be working closely as Advoket has a major role in Savana's film Life Ah Foreign.
