O mi shoots videos for 'Take It Easy', 'fireworks'

Jamaican urban-pop artiste Omi last week travelled to Oregon, United States, to shoot the music videos for his singles 'Take It Easy' and 'Fireworks'.

Filmmaker Tim Cash, of Far From Earth Films, was hired to do the videos over a close to one-week period in several locations in Central Oregon.

The scenes, shot in the snowy regions of Bend in Oregon and in Cash's studio, featured several props including a helicopter and a snowmobile.

After editing, the videos are expected to hit the Internet and television stations in a few weeks.

Cash first worked with Omi on a music video for his song Cheerleader, which was also shot in Bend during the summer 2011.

Omi, who is being hailed as the 'next big thing' for 2013, has already tasted international success with his previous singles, Cheerleader and Standing On All Threes. Cheerleader was number one on the charts in Hawaii for a number of weeks and travelled up to number three in Dubai.

The music videos for the songs have also been immensely popular on the Internet site, Youtube, with a combined figure of well over a million viewers.
