MEN CLASH OUTSIDE COURT

Pandemonium erupted outside the gates of the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate's Court yesterday after several men in skin-tight shirts and pants became involved in a confrontation.

The incident caused traffic to be delayed, the gates of the court to be closed and a large police presence within the courtyard.

The men, who also had long hair and eyelashes, were behaving in an effeminate manner and shouting boisterously, which caught the attention of those attending court, several motorists and the police.

Eyewitnesses within the courtyard speculated that some of the men were attacked by three others believed to be their rivals.

It is also further being speculated that the drama is as a result of a court case involving the men. A corrosive substance was said to have been used to burn one of the men who is the complainant in that matter.

One eyewitness, who spoke on condition of anonymity after the incident, explained that the first set of men were about to board a taxi when the second group approached them.

After the dispute began the police reportedly called in one set and locked the gate.

The crowd is said to have dispersed after the gate was locked.
