Conductor to return to court

A bus conductor who used a stone to inflict wounds to two Transport Authority (TA) employees is to return to the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate's Court on February 11, at which point the matter will be brought up for mention.

He is Craig Abrahams charged with unlawful wounding.

The court heard that on November 23, last year, the Transport Authority employees approached a bus along East Queen Street to serve the bus crew with a summons. Abrahams was the conductor on the bus.

It is alleged that during an exchange between the employees and the bus crew, stones were used to inflict injuries to the TA personnel, which resulted in one receiving a broken jaw and the other a cut to the head.

Abrahams was ordered fingerprinted.
