Jah Wayne upbeat about nominations in West Awards |

![]() Jah Wayne The multitalented DJ, who is the front man on the popular Negril-based sound system, Lazeme Sound, was recently nominated in the Selector of the Year category in the upcoming West Awards. Jah Wayne is extremely happy about his nomination but he is even happier because Lazeme, which celebrated its 10th anniversary last year, is nominated in the Sound System of the Year category in the West Awards. "It's a good look for Lazeme, over 10 years now we have been entertaining the people in the west and we do it with pride because we love to entertain. I really appreciate these nominations by the West Awards because its show recognition for the work that we are doing. Last year, team Lazeme and our hard-working manager Dwayne Jarrett really went all out to put Lazeme on another level and now it's beginning to pay off," he said. The label's first release Jah Wayne recently launched his own record label called Jah Wayne Records. The label's first release will be a song titled First Time by Charly Black, which will be released digitally by Hapilos Entertainment. Later this month, Jah Wayne will head to St Lucia along with Charly Black for a number of shows. The West Awards will be held on Saturday, March 9 at Kokonut Grooves in Llandilo, Savanna-la-Mar.
