Dave Lindo, STAR Writer Several students of the Holmwood Technical High School were injured in a road accident, when a mini-bus they were travelling in overturned at the foot of Shooter's Hill in Manchester. The students were travelling in a Hiace mini-bus from Mandeville to Holmwood in Christiana, Manchester, when the driver failed to negotiate the Shooter's Hill and Kendal Road intersection. The bus subsequently overturned and fell into a gully at the side of the road. The students were rushed to hospitals in the parish. Vice Principal of Holmwood Technical, Edward Hector, who was at the Mandeville Regional Hospital said that 18 Holmwood students are being treated at hospitals. A policeman on the scene of the accident said that based on reports the driver of the bus was speeding.
