Gov't employee shot and killed

An employee of the Ministry of Youth and Culture Sean Thompson was shot and killed at his gate last night.

Thompson, 45, is said to have driven up to his gate about 11 p.m. when another vehicle drove up to him. Its occupants fired shots hitting him all over.

The police were called and he was found around his steering the police said. Twenty-two shells were discovered on the scene.

It was revealed Thompson worked as the Director of Finance in the ministry.

He was the manager of the Meadows Football Club.

Thompson was also seen as an educator who taught mathematics and accounts three times weekly in Tawes Pen where he was born and raised.

He held Masters degrees in accounts and mathematics and was the vice chairman of his Alma Mater the Spanish Town Comprehensive High School.

The St Catherine Major Investigation Task Force is investigating the matter.
