Virtual Je-Vaughn a FIFA 13 hit

Jamaica's Je-Vaughn Watson.

The virtual version of Jamaican Reggae Boy Je-Vaughn Watson has come in for some rave reviews from gamers of the latest instalment of the EA Sports' FIFA franchise.

Watson, who plies his trade for United States Major League Soccer (MLS) club Houston Dynamo, is rated an overall 60 out of 100 in the games overall favourites, but it is some of his individual attributes that make him a fan favourite.

The 29-year-old is credited with good pace, for a central midfielder, decent passing and his height, listed at 6'2", combined with attributes of 83 strength, and 75 jumping often prove to be an advantage when it comes to winning headers in central midfield duels. The player is also blessed with a powerful long shot off his left foot. Watson is believed by many gamers to be hidden gem and one of the best ranked bronze players in the game.

Many fans of local football will hope that the player's video game ratings will prove a case of life imitating art, as he could yet play a key role in Jamaica Reggae Boyz bid to secure a spot in the FIFA World Cup final, which gets under way with a match against Mexico at the Azteca on February 6.
