L.A Lewis, co-accused get bail extension

Horace Lewis, more popularly known as L.A Lewis, and two other men who have been accused of making a fake drink, had their bails extended in the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate's Court yesterday.

The matter has been sent for case management hearing on March 5.

Lewis is charged, along with Dudley Peart and Ephron Jackson, with unlawful use of trademark and conspiracy to defraud.

Allegations are that all three were unlawfully manufacturing and marketing a drink of similar likeness to a product of similar name which was already being manufactured by the owners of the trademark.

On October 3, all three defendants were accosted by police in Water-house, St Andrew.
