Bodies found at landfill

A truck driver of a National Solid Waste Management Authority (NSWMA) truck and another man, who were dumping garbage at a landfill in St Ann, made a shocking discovery when they found the partially decomposing bodies of new-born twin babies, Thursday afternoon.

The male babies, who were discovered at around 2 p.m. in the Haddon landfill, were found in a bag used to store animal feed, with both the umbilical cords and placentae still intact.

The scene was later processed by the police and the bodies removed to the morgue.

An investigation has now been launched into the incident.
