An unidentified male was fatally shot during a confrontation with the police at the intersection of Waltham Park Road and Whitfield Avenue, Kingston 11 about 1:20 p.m. yesterday.

One Astra 9mm Semi-Automatic pistol with six 9mm cartridges and one Magnum Revolver along with six cartridges were seized in the incident.

The matter has since been reported to the Independent Commission of Investigations (INDECOM).
