Sisters on fraud charges out on bond |

|
Two sisters accused of defrauding their mother of thousands of dollars were each given $50,000 bail in the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate's Court on Wednesday. Charged with larceny from the person are Brenda and Lecia Clarke from Waterhouse, St Andrew. Both pleaded not guilty. stolen ATM card The court heard that on the day of the incident, the sisters stole an ATM card which belonged to their mother, who is the complainant in the matter. Allegations are that they went to various ATM outlets and withdrew cash amounting to approximately $690,000. The court was further told that video evidence existed of the two conducting transactions with the ATM card. Both sisters are expected to return to court on January 30 with the money they stole. |
