Trial date set for man on ganja rap

A trial date was set in the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate's Court on Friday for a man who was held recently with a large quantity of ganja.

Alphanso Henry had his bail extended when he entered a not-guilty plea, and had his matter sent to trial.

The court was told that Henry was found with 1,484 pounds of ganja.

He is to return to court on March 11.

Senior Resident Magistrate Judith Pusey expressed in court, "These cases have to be presided over by judges that wear wigs ... that's a lot of ganja."
