Iyata Chrisiti takes aim at the Jamaican music scene |

Iyata US-based reggae singer Iyata Chrisiti is working hard to make her mark on the local music landscape. The talented singjay who resides in Florida was recently in the island promoting her latest single Rise Ghetto Youths. During her visit, she did the promotional rounds by doing a number of performances and interviews on popular television programmes including Pree Dis, which is aired on FLOW 100 TV. According to the multi-talented artiste her trip was a success. She plans to visit the island frequently as she intends to penetrate the Jamaican music scene. "I love Jamaica and I really want to make my name there, so I plan to visit as often as possible in order to keep the promotion going," said the artiste. At a very early age, Iyata's gift of expression through dancing, singing, writing and performing was discovered. Today Iyata's intense love for music has brought about a fusion of musical styles including chanting, deejaying, dub poetry, R&B/soul, reggaeton, and hip hop mixes. Iyata's music entices you to listen and she captivates audiences with her powerful lyrical messages. |
