Members of the Motorised Patrol Division and the St Catherine South Street Crime Unit seized over 1,000 pounds of ganja in Hellshire, Portmore, St Catherine, this morning. No one was arrested in connection with the seizure.

Information received is that about 10 a.m., the lawmen conducted an operation in the area during, which the drug, which weighed about 1192 pounds (541.8 kilograms), was found on the beach. The operation also uncovered about 90 gallons of fuel and food items, which have led investigators to theorise that the ganja was being prepared for export as part as the guns-for-drugs trade. They continue to probe the matter.
