Up to late last night police had still not established a motive for yesterday's double murder in which a man and a pregnant woman believed to be his girlfriend were shot dead.

The gruesome incident occurred in Denham Town, west Kingston shortly after midnight.

The Kingston Western police discovered the bodies after residents reported hearing gunshots the woman was five-month pregnant, the police said.

She was later identified as Candice Johnson o/c 'CJ', while the man has only been identified as 'Quammie'.

The circumstances that led to the shooting are unclear however, it is understood that Johnson was shot multiple times.
