Public warned about illegal insecticide |
|||||
The public is being warned by the Customs Depart-ment to be on the lookout for an illegal insecticide that has been imported into the island from China. The department said the product, which is labelled '119', is not on the list of insecticides approved by the Pesticides Control Authority. In addition, the package shows that the product expired in 2010. The public is advised that given the appearance of the package, the product may be easily mistaken for seasoning or a beverage mix. The Customs Department is asking members of the public with information to contact its toll-free number as well as the Pesticides Control Authority.
