US cops charge Anthony B - Ganja found on deejay's tour bus |

SHELDON WILIAMS, STAFF REPORTER International reggae artiste Anthony B was released from police custody in Georgia, USA, last Friday after being charged when marijuana was reportedly found in the vehicle in which he was travelling during a routine police traffic stop. The artiste, whose real name is Kevin Anthony Blair, was charged, along with nine of his band members who were also aboard the vehicle, with possession of marijuana with intent to sell. Anthony B's publicist, Ronnie Tomlinson, told THE STAR that the men were all arrested on January 27 after police reportedly discovered the contraband during a spot check. few ounces "He is on tour and police pulled over the vehicle because of the darkness of the tints, and based on the report, they found a few ounces of marijuana. Where he was located driving from, in that state, it's illegal to have marijuana. It's a felony," Tomlinson explained. The arrest disrupted Anthony B's musical tour forcing him to miss his scheduled performance in Columbus, Ohio, as he spent five days behind bars. The Tease Her and Mr Heartless singer is expected to face the court later this week. Anthony B is next scheduled to perform in Brooklyn, New York, on Thursday. |
