A Portmore-based entertainer who reportedly gave a man his car to drive without it being licensed or insured was fined in The Spanish Town Resident Magistrate's Court yesterday. Ryan Sudlow, otherwise called Bascom X, of Waterford, Portmore, St Catherine, pleaded guilty when he appeared before Resident Magistrate Marcia Dunbar-Green. Sudlow was fined $2,000 or 10 days for no insurance; $4,000 or 10 days for no licence disc and $5,000 or 10 days for aiding and abetting an unlicenced motor vehicle. The Crown withdrew the fraudulent use of licence disc charge. Bascom X appeared in the Spanish Town Resident Magistrate's Court on aiding and abetting charges. He was charged after the police held Samuel Copeland driving the entertainer's unlicenced motor car, after he was stopped along the Port Henderson Road in Portmore, St Catherine, by the police. The clerk of court was Nicole Kellier. Bascom X is known for songs such as Lonely Girl, Love You The Same Way and others. |
