Entertainer and music marketing guru Contractor has decided to diversify his music-promotion operations by tapping into the ever-busy and lucrative tourism market in Ocho Rios, St Ann.

The multi-talented Contractor, who also has an active music-recording career, has recently set up the website http://www.encounterjamaica.com/ to accommodate visitors to Ocho Rios where he resides.

Contractor has a tremendous amount of experience dealing with tourists, mainly from his music-marketing operations for the ever-present music label, Downsound Records, and many other overseas-related projects.

Contractor said he felt compelled to provide an easy-to-access ultimatum for his clients whom he has realised travel from as far as Norway, England, Switzerland, Canada, Poland and the Caribbean.

"These people have varying demands as it relates to cuisine and entertainment so it is a plus for anyone to provide both at the same time," he said.

Contractor, real name Sean Edwards, has established a credible repertoire in music marketing. He recalls moments such as taking Norway TV on a tour of Kingston, as well as taking over 70 journalist from England to meet Sizzla and Capleton.

He has also been entrusted with many important duties by Downsound Records' CEO, Joe Bagdonavich, such as the staging of the recently concluded and highly successful Sting stage show held on Boxing Day.

"Tourism and entertainment go hand-in-hand. The website was built with that knowledge and to provide the public with credible and easy-access information," he said.
