Still riding the waves of a successful 2012, artiste Mr Vegas is now gearing up for an even more tremendous 2013.

Vegas recently signed former Magnum Kings and Queens contestant Renegrade to his MV music label and already there has been a buzz surrounding this up-and-coming artiste.

Renegrade, a Spanish Town native told The STAR that he first met Vegas when he was one of the guest judges on the MKQ show.

"Vegas gave me some advice after my performance. He saw my talent and was influenced by my performance. He is a professional musician and he knows the right type of arrangements that work with my, voice etc; he knows what he's doing," Renegrade said of his mentor.

He went on to say that he was elated when he was approached to be a part of Vegas' label.

"We signed the deal late last year and I'm currently promoting three new singles titled Never Say Never, Formila and Black Survivor," he said.

Vegas told The STAR that Renegrade has the star qualities that will propel his career.

"When I was a guest judge on the show and I heard him perform, I heard something that I think the business needs. We need fresh faces to represent Jamaica," Vegas said.

Vegas also stated that Renegrade is one of the best writers he has come across.

"His lyrics are deep and well put together and he's one of the best writers that I've come across in a long time. His sound reminds me of Sizzla, Jr Kelly and Everton Blender and you can hear these influences in his music.

Renegrade is gearing up for a European tour in the summer along with Mr Vegas. He is currently on the heels of releasing his debut EP titled Black Survivor.

"I'm going to bring my music to a wider space. This tour will open up new avenues for me and my music and take us to an international market. Renegrade has a unique style, new ideas, and I promote positive and edifying music, so Jamaica can look out for that," Renegrade said.
