Hunting rifle found in Fletcher's Land

Members of the Kingston Central Police Division reportedly found a hunting rifle during a patrol of the Fletcher's Land community yesterday.

Information reaching THE STAR is that around 9 a.m., the police were in the community conducting a routine patrol when they saw a group of men acting suspiciously.

According to the police, upon seeing the lawmen, the group ran through a premises located on Mark Lane in the community.

A search was conducted and the illegal firearm was found on the premises.

The police told THE STAR that gang members who are fighting over turf in the community were possibly using the weapon for illicit activities.

No one was arrested in connection with the find.
